The interaction of humans with technology is changing our biology and can result in the elimination of age-related dysfunction

The biological basis of this effect is explained by the Indispensable Soma Hypothesis (those who are indispensable for the continual survival of a techno-organic ecosystem will experience an improved somatic cell repair at the expense of reproduction), which is supported by the more general Law of Requisite Usefulness (the length of retention of an agent within a system is proportional to that agent's contribution to the overall adaptability of the system). One main assumption is that although ageing can be eliminated in participating humans, this will not be achieved through any physical biomedical interventions.
